A few 240 questions
I want to know how proven the stock KA intake manifold is. How much power will it hold before it becomes restrictive. I can't find any aftermarket manifolds for the KA and wonder if the stock manifold will hold 500-600hp. Will I need a custom manifold made for these numbers?
Also, will an year ka24de work in my 95? Obviously it's the same motor but I just need to know if there are any major wiring differences that I should take into account when shopping for a new longblock.
Finally, as far as the auto to manual swap, I've been reading up on it on a few sites (heavythrottle.com for instance), and it really doesn't seem like it will be too difficult. Can anyone give me any first hand experiences or opinions on the difficulty of this swap? Thanks.

stock intake is good for whatever you want to throw at it i've seen. meaning 600+ @30psi
any DE motor will work in a 95. you can run a 13 motor on 14 electronics. if you use a 13 motor put a 14 intake manifold on it for lack of butterflys.
maybe tim can chime in on the auto to manny swap, as i've never done one.
Auto to manual swap isn't hard. I already sold my conversion parts, but here's what you'll need:
Manual tranny+bellhousing
flywheel
clutch
shifter
center console
master cylinder
slave cylinder
hard lines between master and slave cylinders
5 speed driveshaft
clutch pedal assembly
brake pedal*
5-speed ECU
you can use your auto brake pedal, but you have to cut it in order to fit the clutch pedal in there.
You're going to have to pull the motor to do it, so you'll need all the goodies associated with that, as well as a good torque wrench, and a 2 1/2" hole saw that will cut through the firewall and a dremel to polish the hole.
If you need help with it, let me know.

Thanks a bunch Greaser and Tim. I may take you up on that offer Tim.
Thanks again.
All I know is the previous owner is a cum guzzler.
Thanks again.
