Default fender install

i recently bought sum fenders for my 97 civic, they arent the metal kind, they dont seem to fit right , they have a gap in each side between the headlight and the door, should i put em on , and mold the rest to fit right , or just scrap em and get sum metal ones?

if they aren't OEM, chances are they aren't going to fit right.
