Default Ek question

Ok I know this sounds stupid and I feel really stupid for asking this but.....

Where is the diagnosis plug for a 97 civic coupe? I have never had a civic this year with a check engine light and I don't know how to find out what it is. lol. the car is a dx.

I couldn't find the plug so I did the old "turn the ignition off and on 3 times" trick and it beeped 6 times. I don't know if that is the code or not but that is what i got.

Any help would be great.

Its on the passenger side right above the ECU and kick panel. Its a plug with 2 wires coming out of it, its not being used so nothing should be plugged into it. Take a paper clip and jump the 2 together by putting 1 end of the clip in 1 hole and the other side in the other hole. Dont turn ON the car but turn it on. The check engine light should flash ur code.

Now I know that is how you do it on a OBD1 car but I am pretty sure that a OBD2 car is different.
