Default Does my main journal look OK?

Do you think my main journal here looks alright? Here is a pic of the crank journal and the bearing.. Looks like a piece of debris might have caused this, but I am wondering if I replace the bearings if it will be okay, don't really wanna spin a bearing. I will post up better pics tommorow as well..

Thanks!

Looks like typical wear. Dirt particles can get between bearings and cause marks like that.

You should never reuse bearings if you can help it. As long as you can run your finger nail over each surface without catching you should be fine.

Also when installing the new bearings be sure that your hands, bearing and block journals are 100% clean and dry. You dont want contaminate the surfaces with dirt and then end up where you left off.

I could rebuild the block for you for cheap.

I am definitely ordering new bearings.. I have all the bearing colors that I need, but I will probably go with ACL and if they some don't plastigauge correctly then go from there, but all of my bearings are either green or yellow so I shouldn't have any problem..

I'll be sure to keep everything clean

Yeah it looks ok. If you get ACL bearings make sure you don't get the race bearings they aren't made for everyday driving.

I know, I have read through all the debates on honda-tech, and honestly, I don't think one is better than the other.. I'd rather pay $99 than $280 though, I can tell you that much lol..

They are both trimetal bearings, depends on the clearances as to if one could run ACL's or not basically(If they wanted to stick with stock clearance)..

If you want a cheap test try this. Take a penny and run it across the main journals, if any copper remains you will need to lap your journals.
