Default Dek Failure

Friend got new Subs and Amp. I hooked em up as i always do, no problems, till i got to the speaker wire. I plugged in negative, and got a spark. Nothing starts now. Dek, Subs, Amp, NOTHING. 0 Power. So i go to fuse box, and what do you know, the cig lighter is blown, (replaces) Still nothing, no power to anything. Checked every fuse, including the ones on amp, back of dek, and battery-Amp. All fine... Someone help...

Listing the type of car might be useful. Are you using the stock speaker wires to feed signal into the amp, or are you using RCA cables from the deck?
You really haven't told us any information, how is the amp hooked up, where is the remote turn on coming from, are you using any other devices to turn anything on or off, have you tapped off anything to feed power to the radio, are you using stock speakers, have you checked for pinched wires, etc.

I'm guessing that the deck is on the same power circuit as the cig lighter, and that something doesn't have a ground wire hooked up correctly. Not enough info yet.
