You would be amazed at how well cats tone out exhausts....put a cat back on, it seriously is only going to make a 1-2whp difference (it only made a 7whp difference on a 600whp Skyline). Put a resonator on it too, even if you have a turbo when you get up in the RPMs it'll sound like shit - I know because I know how my old exhaust sounded, I still needed a resonator.

I went to big als to get em to throw a resonator in, and swap the fartcan with the magnaflow.

They wouldn't touch it because it lacks the cat

So, after a few days of talkin to people, got hold of a friend's friend who has a shop.

Bought an 18in resonator, and got it welded in, and got the better muffler in.

Saved room so I can put a cat on their later

but...

there's only 2 real companies that make true high flow cats that actually reduce emmisions. Random Technology and powercore (good luck finding powercores). they are the only high flow cats to pass obdII emissions checks by the EPA. but they're pricey. so do what you must. i had a magnaflow on my accord with a full cat and resonator. still sounded kind buzzy, but it was much deeper and sounded kinda mean. I now have a full apex'i WSII and it's SOOO much quieter. I did notice with the magnaflow i lost some downlow tq. you gain maybe 1-2hp top end but the loss in low end wasn't worth it for me.
