i have d15b2 motor in my hatch and now i think the throw out bearing is about to go,( im guessing thats the problem when u let out the clutch and it starts grinding and whining)? but it also doesnt want to go into 5th a lot and sometimes fourth. Is it better for me to just buy a new tranny? and if so which trannys can i use? thnx for the help in advance.

seriously, a tranny to mate that is what....$100, maybe $50? Just get a new one.

 

if you think its throw out bearing thats only like $25 and i think i have an extra. does it grind at high rpm or every time you shift?

 

it whines when it goes into 5th. and it doesnt want to go into all the gears sometime. but it only grinds going into fifth and it grinds when u let the clutch out in neutral.
