Default d-series engine swap

i have a 92 civic cx with a blown motor, i need to know if i can put in a 96 DX engine and swap over my harness, intake manifold, distributor and alternator with out any problems.

all u need to change is the dizzy. u will be good thats what i did, but i put a
Y8 in. 96 Ex motor.

dont you have to cut one of the legs off the dist to get it to fit? since the y8/y7 come from the same casting even though its non vtec its still a vtec shaped head.

cant remember though ive built so many combinations of d16z6/d15b/y8 crap i can never keep it all straight anymore.

i guess ill find out, im gonna have to transfer the front motor mount bracket, hopefully that bolts up too
