Crank Question
The crank will work, this would be the same idea as an LS/VTEC because you are increasing the stroke from 87.2 to 89mm (giving you more displacement).
As for the rods, Im not totally sure, but I think you will either need custom length rods, or have the wrist pin altered a bit.
Can anyone else explain the rods?

if you are putting in a new crank..why would you put stock LS rods in a gsr block i dont understand the point...i would put some aftermarket rods and pistons in myself..shit you already have the block opened, might as well...
I would put aftermarket rods in also, but he may be trying to save some money...
On a side note, putting modified rods in a GSR block, with an LS crank can make your rod/stroke ratio better...I've seen 1.68 R/S ratios, which is much better than a typical LS/VTEC R/S ratio of 1.58
Ask around before you buy the rods, your on your way to a bad-ass build!!
