compressor surge
Just a fyi to ya guys:
Doesn't tell jack about a turbo. Doesnt tell what inducer/exducer of compressor/turbine wheel, compressor housing (there is E, S, etc.), etc, etc.
What type of piping are you running, intercooler, where is the BOV? Etc.

Check to see if there are any washers inside.
Some cars can never get rid of a mild surge under light throttle. As long as it isn't occurring under full load conditions, its nothing to be concerned about.
Some cars come stock with no BOV and work fine for years. Even some performance applications don't use a BOV and it runs fine forever..

It wouldn't hurt to move the BOV closer to the throttle body either, being at the end of a resonant pressure wave is better than being in the middle if you want to stop the wave resonance. 14" probably isn't far enough to cause any problems though, so I'm not sure that's too much of an issue.
