Alright, i have a 99 coupe thats basically costly to fix and virtually totalled. Well i have a friend that has a 97 sedan that shes willing to sell to me for 700. Well i know i can probably swap out the motor and tranny...both are stick...hers is an LX with 170K....mine is an EX with only 90K. Now here are my questions:

1. Would I be able to swap suspensions? I have ground controls with KYB AGXs?
2. Her driver side door and passenger door are horrible. Passenger mirror is falling off with a huge rusting dent in the door. Driver door has huge dent and the lock doesnt work. Would my doors off my coupe be swappable with the front driver and passenger doors of the sedan?
3. Pretty much everything else is compatible right?

 

I'd imagine the sedan would have smaller doors since there are 4 of them??

The doors are not the same. Neither are any of the front body panels, IIRC. Your suspension and everything motor/transmission wise will swap over though.

yes i know its y7 and mine is a y8....but i figure i could swap the full motor and tranny...would that be possible?

 

yes you can swap everything under your hood over to hers

 

wait. i'm confused. i have a 99 dx. it got a y7. is it because the ex and dx came with diferent motors?

 

ok the dx and lx come with the d16y7 engines(non-vtec)
the ex comes with the d16y8 engine(sohc vtec)
the hx comes with the d16y5 engine(sohc vtec-e)
the si (99-00) comes with the b16 engine(dohc vtec)
