Default cluckin in my front end

yeah i have a 1992 honda accord ex and i have a clucking noise in my front end and i thought it was my cv's but they look like there's nothing wrong with them the boot isnt ripped or toren and it clucks everytime i turn left or right so could some 1 tell me if it is that or not thanks

It's the CV joint. On many instances, the only way to see if the joint is bad is if you take it apart. A ripped boot does not necessarily mean a bad joint or vice versa....

Condensation and dirt can still get in them even if they aren't ripped, though I'm willing to bet you've got a tear in them - which you can tell if you spread the boot apart, rib by rib. Though do as thermal says since its screwed either way. Typically, I dont either bother checking the CV joint, I just undo the LCA, take an impact at the axle nut, swing the hub assembly out (gotta take tire off of course) and yank the axle(s).

We had the same issue on a H22A4 92 Prelude. All we did was remove the axles and open them up, clean them WELL, and replace the boots and install in the car again. Never had a problem again.

I can lend a hand taking to it, I've got some tools and what not if you don't.
