plain and simple, im trying to find out exactly what part needs to be replaced or what i need to do. thanks in advance...

i just recently got my 92 civic hatchback (cx w/ a dx motor), and the fuel gauge (stock) read that i had 3/8 of a tank. then when i went to go get gas for the first time, i filled it all the way up. and then when i went to go start it up, the needle on the fuel gauge started to go down, past the empty mark.

i hate to sound picky, but thats one of my more important guages and i dont think i could live without it- im a cheap ass, i ride the tank til its on "E"!!! lol
