coolant and i dont have the funds to put a better engine in. thinking about selling the car for 900. everything is fine but this damn motor.

you should try to fix it yourself with a haynes manual or something, manual is like 25 and a headgasket is like 60 probly from a local parts store. Sounds like a head gasket 99% sure

Because drag is full of ASE certified mechanics that know better. Duh.

nah he's a diesel professional mechanic. he said head gasket but you can ALWAYS use a second opinion.

edit: he's lazy because I haven't paid him yet. ha

I would say its the headgasket too. Burning coolant produces white smoke. If you have a haynes manual and some tools, you could certainly do the replacement yourself.

well now that the test has been told to him to do, he needs to get that done first, then report back. No use guessing and letting him just throw money into it without any info. BTW what is the engine lights for?
