Default Car Idles higher when steering wheel is turned
My car for some odd reason starts idling at almost 1100 rpm when i turn my steering wheel. I was told that is was because of the rack and pinion steering, but i am not quite sure, any feedback would be appreciated.

might help to tell what kindve car it is. and when u turn the steering wheel does it hold that idle or just jump up then back down? do you have power steering?

Its because your car idles itself up to compensate for having to power the power steering pump.
