can lsd go bad?
I went auto-xing today and man I was burning that passenger side tire uuuuup. I wasnt sure I had lsd so I lifted the front and rotated one tire and the other rotated in the other direction. Ive heard thats how you check for lsd. That was a while back. But today it was obviously not doing its job. Is it possible that its not working or what? thanks in advance!

Actually, I've heard it both ways. The more common way being that if you turn one tire one way, the other should turn the exact same way that you are turning it. Not the oposite, but like I've said, I've heard other people saying that doesn't always work.

exactly, if your wheels do this you have an open differential and not an lsd........even if the lsd was slipping it would not turn the opposite direction cause that would not be slipping that would be FAILURE.......on a honda anyways.......

Hey guys sorry I havent responded I never got message that there were post being made in this thread.
OK so Im still kinda confused, how can I make sure I do or do not have lsd. I was told by an acura dealer that I had a canadian gsr tranny, and I've heard that canadian tranny's all have lsd, which I believed because of all the snow I imagine they get. So if I do have lsd its stock. If I dont, where do you guys recommend I get one and what brand?
I am going to rebuild the tranny soon so Im thinking of taking care of everything, lightweight flywheel, racing clutch etc.
anybody want to help me by telling me which brand they recommend and where I can get someone reliable to rebuild the tranny?
thanks!!

one more thing, everytime I use to do burnouts both wheels would leave marks, and when I took a sharp turn and accelerated hard and lost traction I would go straight, both to me indicate lsd, but I havent done this recently so I cant confirm if I cant do it anymore. actually yeah, at the auto-x the inside wheel would spin like crazy... so thats weird I dont know what the hell is going on.
