As for the "middle of the graph", anything at and above your fall point (after shift RPM) is where many tuners try to increase power. This is the hard part of what tuners do. If you ever talk to head porters, they'll smile when you ask them how to pick power up here...and they'll never tell you.

I don't have it to post right now, but if you ever saw my all motor drag motor's graph, you would see the power carry past 250whp for almost 2500rpm. It wasn't a peaky 270whp+ graph, the power carried for a very long time from the bottom of my after shift RPM, all the way to the top.

Would you rather have a motor that peaked at 250whp, or would you want one that could stay at 250whp for over 2500rpm? (hypothetically speaking)

They key is average power, over a given usable range; if you utilize yours better than the person in the other lane, you will win. Think about it, your only at "PEAK POWER" for a split second, and then you shift.
