A/C Compressor not kicking on
I have 95 civic ex with A/C. I can turn the AC on and nothing will happen.
Once I physically push on the climate control right below the recirculate button I can hear the compressor kick on and the A/C will work. As soon as I stop pushing on the climate control it turns off.
I figured there was a short somewhere so I replaced the climate control unit with a new one and it still does it. Any suggestions?

im betting its in the control head, since the compressor actually actuates. its probably a bad contact on the button, fixable? maybe. simplest thing to do is snag another from local yard, or friend.
...miss a bit of info? screams control head problem.

yeah if you were low on freon your compressor wouldnt kick on period.
but the way you described your statement, it sounds like it could be...the button you are pressing, or the whole climate control unit.
Get one off of here. im sure you can find 2 or 3 for less than 50$
