If you are in a price issue you really do not need aftermarket came to make power. I am making 800+ with GSR cams and they seem to work just fine.
but how much of an importance is it to get it sleeved. Has anyone ordered the sleeves then had them put in.? is it cheaper. and i also heard it was stupid for me to sleeve with 81.5 pistons but i cant afford to go with any others because i already have pistons. If i wanted to run about 400whp and low boost on 9to1 pistons built head with stock cams on block gaurd would it do ok till i can afford to sleeve?

81.5mm motors people do daily on stock sleeves, you will be fine.

I'm unsure about the block gaurd thing, I personally never would use one but some people have luck with them.

What turbo do you plan on running?

Nope, you must have a machine shop put the sleeves in. It takes precision to drop those in..... It's not a simple bolt-on process.....

I would give a place like inline or Justice racing engines a call. Most people will never be able to install there own sleeves because of the machines that are involved in the process of getting the block ready. If you have the money to have the block sleeved then do it because most people change there mind on the HP level when they are finished and it is better to be safe than sorry.

have a fixd budget and the diff between block guard and sleeve is a whole lot
Like everyone said in the last thread you made. If you want reliability Sleeve the block. If you want a ticking time bomb, use stock block and just do a piston/rod set up. PM'd you tho

Are you serious?

Its so easy to make 400whp with a piston/rod block with a worked head. Not the easiest with a .57 trim but its easy with a little bigger turbo.

Read the bold.
He's already shooting for 400 to 500.
Also, why do you keep saying worked head?

Kyle, it would be wise for you to lurk in this topic. I'm not bashing, just trying to prevent you from getting into a debate you know nothing about. (i.e. Hatchman's arguement for ARP vs. Golden Eagle.)

I was thinking the same thing. It's going to turn into a hairdryer.

He said something about mild build on the head I thought?
