Exclamation broke bolt off in head** help!!

i brok one of the valve cover bolts off in the head.....its on my honda y8 motor....it is the top right bolt.....its one of those long ones? i broke the threads off and they are in the headand i cant get it out? well i havent teird but i kno i wont be able to get it out....what should i do??? please help

i would use a screw extractor first. the screw extractor i use is a craftsman one very similar to this one:

i've used this tool 3 times and has worked everytime. it ain't perfect so it may not work. if that doesn't work you must drill it out.

If i am thinking of the same bolt you can jst use a 12mm wrench to undo the bolt formthe head and you can just put another one in.....i did the same thing on my crx

somebody IM me im confused....im in the process of doing this rite now so i nned all the quick help i can get? and if someone lives on harpersville and wants to come help me do this that would be even greater....i dont understand the drill out part???

Use a left handed drill bit, those are a lil better than EZ outs. Be careful not to break off either of those into the head as well, its made of forged steel, if you break one of those off into the head, you're SOL.

Worst case scenario is that you'd have to take off the head and take it to a machine shop, they can get it out for ya.

Best thing to do is to take it to a shop where someone knows what they're doing. Probably wont cost that much, and saves you from messing anything up.

got it fixed for 155.18$ at HOPS place in hampton.....i didnt have to take my head off either...but i did break the ez out shit its gay as hell i took that shit back and got my money back
