breaking in a clutch
Listen to these guys- I got a clutch for my old zc and I drove hard just a few times within the "breakin" period and that shit was slipping big time. I know I was an idiot. Dont get on it hard till its broken in!
yeah just drive it chill mode. You should replace your rear main seal while you have the tranny off. I put my 6puck clutch on, it lasted like 2 days.and started seeing oil drippin out tranny housing. Pull it all off..an the dam rear main seal was leakin...replaced that...put it back on...then about week and a half later.....i blew the tranny apart...a bearing broke, and got stuck between gears and just busted the tranny into about 6 holes..lol..covered clutch in oil, So i had to buy a new one...it sucked, clutch only had like 200 miles or somthing. GL
ps- some other things to check if interested while tranny is off, input shaft bearing and seal. and there is a few other bearings in there that are not to bad to replace..*yourself* not a shop, haha.
