boost question
Im actually glad someone has the same questions as me, i'm looking to do the same thing with my 00' DC LS. I'm just stumped as to which direction i should go when i build.. or if i should build. I mean i planned on boosting w/ stock internals and everything but since i drive rather hard sometimes... i'd like to have peace of mind with a simple build but nice street sleeper... i'm not really looking to go to the track often cuz it's my DD, but i just want a practical streetable car that still kicks ass on the street. i'm looking to make around 300 to 350hp. I'm just not familiar with building, like as to what size pistons and such... any suggestions? Sorry if this post makes me sound like a noob.. i pretty much am when it comes to boostin/building.
thanks for the replies everyone. im aimin for somethin around 250 or so to be safe. i have another question though. if i ran crower 403's with the turbo kit, would it make a big difference? im askin is because i heard they were made for all motor cars

Now, a built block and head? 403's FTW!!!
I have seen 12lbs from a SC61 but with a very good tune. That doesn't mean it will last forever though. The LS isn't bullet proof. Don't beat on it everyday and it will last.

I had mine with crower 403's, and it really really helped power up top, almost pulled like a vtec car. I had srp pistons/scat forged rods/stock sleeves. Tuned on 9lbs it had to have been around 270+whp, but I had a aftermarket intake manifold, 3 dp & exhaust, etc. I know it was quick as shit, because on just 5lbs it ran a 13.9 at 105, on bald ass street tires.
