blowin fuse in 5th
i drive around in 5th at around 3500. its fine when gettin on 64 in 4th even takin it to 8k. but once in 5th it pops. it happens around 4500. it dims a lil before then just pops
Weird problem. I too would think shift linkage, look again. Do it happen when you go into reverse?
I was thinking that maybe you had a voltage regulator that was going out on you, thus when at a higher RPM your voltages increase, but, since you can go higher in RPM's in 4th all day long, dunno man, I'd say shift linkage. Look again to double check?

It sounds like a sporadic voltage regulator, either that or it's totally unrelated to the things in which you think it is. Sporadic shorts too are no fun, though, thats why circuits have different fuses in cases such as these. Do you have a multimeter? If so, semi-perma connect it to say your cigarette lighter/12v supply plug, assuming its a digital multimeter with a "max" setting. This way you'll be able to tell if voltage is increasing thus blowing fuses.
yea, i have a few. a few months back my altenator fried. an took the fuse panel under the dash with it. i check the wires around it an there still in good shape. im wonderin if the altenator could be the problem. its off a 93 gsr.
