B20 question

Default B20 question

I have a 92 integra ls w/ a b18 engine (non V-tec). also have a 91 prelude w/ a b20a5. i was wondering if i could put the top-end of the b20 on the bottom end of the b18 since the b18 caught on fire but still i good internaly. is this possible???

hmmm, i never have come across such a question , id like to know myself..........but i would think not , im not totally sure but i think theres a different head bolt pattern from the b18 and it wont mount to the block, but i could be wrong.......

I think the b20a5 from the Prelude is a completly different motor from all the other bs. I read somewhere that it's like the worst b motor honda ever made.

Edit: Here is a pic of how different the b16 head and the b20a block are. I can't seem to find anything specfic about the b18b head but I think the bolts are about the same as the b16. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

yea, the b16 head and b18b head have the same pattern, but i didnt think the prelude head would, plus, im sure if it could be done we would have already heard about it........

What about a d16old scholl integra top in on a bottom end d 15block? im trying to work with what i got so any help would be apreciative

Are you talking about a ZC motor? The DOHC non-VTEC d series? No I don't think that'll work either similar situation as the previous situation. Let me do some checking though.

the d series 87-88 integra motor top end on a d-15 civic block if thats any mor help. i figure, since there both d series motors... but that was the same problem with my last guestion....?

well you know that you shouldn't believe everything you read right? it's not that it's the worst motor, just the one with NO aftermarket support. we use to be able to get a DC header but nope, not any more. no turbo manifold, everything is custom. i guess the other b.s. don't know about that word b/c any/everything they want just about is avail. oh well, i'm done w/ my bi***ing for today.haha
