the stock b17a1 compression ratio is 9.6:1 which is the same amount as what eek posted so really you dont have lower compression then the b20 you have the same amount.

ill still pay up just because i thought that the comp was 10 something but no paypal here, ill just pay up in person the next time im in NN.

edit- stock specs- 9.7:1 from www.g2ic.com
http://g2ic.com/specs.php

you can keep the 5 bucks and buy a haynes manual or something or just save it b/c it seems like you really need 5 bucks. i think that the compression ratio calculator only works if you know everything about the motor, ie deck height and everything else.

4real tho back to the b20.

If you run the numbers you'll see 9.54

I don't trust 2GIC.com anymore after I found some misleading information.. and the fact that the site doesn't have shit compared to some others.

I know that this horse has been beaten to hell and back, but for those of you who have the bible (Helms manual), it states on page 3-14 that the B18A1 compression is 9.2:1 and the B17A is 9.7:1.

As far as the original topic...Dave22 couldn't of said it better
