if you are going to a " complete build ", would that not consist of sleeves , forged pistons and rods? then you can get the pistons at the compression ratio you want. and boost the hell out of it?

Get the right pistons for what you're doing, not stock ITR/CTR pistons. If you're going to do a turbo setup, get the proper pistons with bigger ring lands and the right compression so you won't have problems down the road. After all, you only want to buy pistons once, right?

hum if you are looking to run an all motor on an ls what i would recommend is get a set of crower cams (i forgot the model number i think 404's) and a set of itr pistons. now remember a ported ls head still does not flow as good as any vtec head due to the port size. also if you want to run a piston from a ctr or a itr you will have to get either the pitons or the rod milled 1 mil on each side so that they will fit. also something else you will have to keep in mind is that most n/a setups you are looking for power in the higher rpms and an the ls rods have pretty weak rod bolts so you cant spin them up that high without having them stretch/break so it would be wise for you to get a set of arp rod bolts as well
