I have a running 1990 b16a and I also have a b16a2 block, with crank and rods.....I was wondering how much ctr pistons would raise the compression....and also what rods i should use on what block...a or a2??? thanx

civic type R piston very compression depend on what setup is and such. i know from the factory its like 12 to 1 compression in the CTR motors.

its will give you a good bump of compression tho for a b16a.

about the whole rods how high are you plaining reving ?

if you are going to rev high like 8500+ i would atleast go with type R rods cause the b series wont hold up much more then that. i would get a nice set of aftermarket like eagle or crower then you would be alot safer and they can handle high reving.

Thanks.... will the ctr pistons work with the b16a rods or the b16 a2...if i want to use them? There different sizes arn't they

should be around 11.5:1 in a b16a , they are 12.5:1 in a b16B (ctr)
