Need a obd1 dizzy to convert to obd1. Best thing to do is get a p28 chipped and get the motor tuned. As far as swapping the motors, you use everything u already have. Also, have to wire in vtec too.

you'll need the obd1 dizzy for an obd1 conversion and a harness between your obd2 wiring harness and your new dizzy unless you feel like de-pinning and switchin out some plugs

Whatever you do.

DO NOT RUN IT ON A BASEMAP AND THINK IT IS TUNED.

Take it somewhere and get it tuned.

And whats all this talk about OBD2 dist. and OBD1 dist. If you look at the two, they are the same thing. Except one has two plugs(obd1) and the other has all the wires joined in 1 plug(obd-2). De-pin and put them into obd-1 clips. Is that hard?

seen plenty of threads...took a whole week researching what i needed to do to put a B16a, which what i had intended to buy, but since i ended up with a B16b on Saturday, i'm having to do my research on putting that in, and on H-T, there wasn't a lot of info

If you are getting tuned, any odd1 honda ecu would have worked, not just a p28. People tend to charge more when selling p28, so you can save some money that way. $50 for a homemade dizzy jumper harness is crazy. You can make your own jumper harness. It is not hard at all.

a) I'm not very knowledgeable about cars. I just have some experience in something you don't. Keep your head up.

b) At least you are listening to people about the tuning. Be careful on who you go to for tunes, I'm biased of my tuner but there are others in the are who are fine to tune a stock b16b.

Ding Ding Ding.

A p06 can be chipped.
A p30 can be chipped.
A p72 can be chipped.
I had a chipped p75 but I don't think you can add vtec to it.

If you would like a already chipped ecu for a OEM ITR motor, I have my tune saved on the computer. It was bone stock 97 ITR motor, 98 ITR header, stock Si muffler, AC/PS, NGK 7s 32 degrees of timing, ebay intake. Stock injectors. Made 178whp 12x tq.
It'd run your car fine untill you could get tuned.
