I believe you can. However, I'm not sure if you can swap them between hydro and cable trannies. You can start looking by calling Honda, or other reputable transmission shops.

It might be cheaper to find a GSR or B16 transmission.

most people do fifth gear/final drive, but it may be cheaper to get a new tranny, cause tranny work is usually EXPENSIVE

Ha, Honda will NOT help you with any hybrid/swap questions...officially. And transmission shops with not help you either unless they are charging you a grip.

As far as swapping gears between the B series trannies, the YS1 cable trannies are the only ones that are interchangable with the Hydro trannies.

Gears can be swapped out right with the correct shift ring & fork, but the Final Drive Ring Gears can not be swapped unless you have the correct Countershaft to do it.

As to getting new gears...you can buy gear sets at any Acura dealership or online...

or for go the headaches and just buy an JDM ITR tranny.

Just make sure that he gap checks the gears that you replace. failure to do so can cause the shift ring not to sit where it is suppose to causing either a grinding gear or a gear to pop out...or both. Use the Helms manual, it's in there.

gap checking is a biggie, also do not lose the spacer rings on the gears, that are located on the gear assembly itself, they look like washers, make sure that you have them....also I think that you have to change the diff also, to match the gearing, b16a for b16A gearing... and gsr for gsr.....gearing....
