Trust me, everything does NOT just bolt right up. Like stated above, you either have to relocate and weld the passenger side tranny mount into place or buy the Hasport piece. I swapped mine back in Oct of '02 and have never had any problems.

You'll also need a manual ECU for it, this is really easy if it's an OBD1 (92-95) car, because the auto ECU can be converted to manual. If it's OBD2 (96+) you'll have to source another ECU..

You give me the ECU and $10, and I convert it. It doesn't have to be chipped or anything, both the auto and manual programs are in the stock ECU already, there are just some parts that have to be changed around to tell the ECU it's a manual now..

if you have the hasport mount it will bolt right up, unfortunetly when i did the auto to manual, hasport did not make the mount..so i had to have some one cut the mount and move it about an inch maybe two

You'll get the occassional CEL if you don't convert it, it's so easy to do that it's not worth using it as an auto ECU.

is this some that is awfully extremely difficult to do? (doing the changeover not worrying at this point about the ECU) It sounds like a lot of stuff but overall, if it is, hell i might as well pay someone to do it as long as i have all the parts. I know it will take a few nights to get it done but im just lookin for an over all difficulty rating. we have found several cars cheap. hell wej ust bought a coupe for $500 but they are all automatics..we are having trouble finding a 5spd so we thought we would just do a converstion to one
