Default Anyone ever clay a motor?

I bought a motor and I began to worry about the valve clearance when I looked further into the setup:
B16A JDM Stock Bottom end
Head Milled .030 with 1 layer headgasket
JUN III cams with ITR valves

I hope I won't run into any problems and I'd like to check just to make sure. If the motor doesn't clear, I have no problem losing compression by adding a thicker head gasket. Does anyone have any experience claying a motor? I really don't think I could do this myself because I really want to be done correctly. I could maybe try, but I don't know. Anyone have any advice?

I've read that and fully understand it. I just don't know how hard it actually is. Does Abacus do that? I could probably do it myself, but something that important I'd really rather have a professional do it. I don't want this thing bending valves on its first VTEC crossover.

ok now you got me worried... whats considered a wild cam?? 445 intake lift, 432 exhaust lift, 191 duration. Thicker headgasket needed maybe. stock spec bottom end, crower vavle springs and retainers, any info? I know that is a big cam but what is needed to use them??

Valve springs and retainers would be a good idea. No need for a thicker head gasket if you are still using stock pistons. Watch the revs if you plan on retaining the stock bottom end though.

Do you think I need to up to a 2 or 3 layer headgasket? My head is milled .030. Maybe I should get someone to clay it just to be sure. Can Abacus do that?

No need to clay or worry about valve to piston clearance if you are using stock pistons, but yes Abacus can help you out if you really want to do it.

your using a b16 right? stock rev is 8000 rpm. With springs and retainers you will be safe up to 9500 rpm's.
