those are called regamaster evo's, there dope ass wheels. Big difference from a rota every set ive ever seen for sale there going between 1700 and 2k without tires for a used set of the rega's. Hopfully the body is nice as the wheels, u got a link to pics of the car . I've never seen rega's on a 240 i'am curious to see how it looks. Anyway back on topic just figured id let u know what they were so u didnt compare them to rota's anymore haha j/k man

As far as the car cutting off, I can't say a whole lot more then what everyone else said. Get a ECU pin out online and that can help you narrow your search down wire wise on the ECU. If you can find a red top factory service manual I'd highly recommend getting that as well.
