Default all motor build question

Well my friend is looking to build his GSR. here are his plans:::
skunk2 stage 2 cams
omni power springs and retainers
STR cam gears
ARP rod bolts
USDM ITR .25 over pistons and rings
bottom end gasket kit
tope end gasket kit
timing belt/water pump/ITR oil pump
walbro 255 intank pump
B & M FPR
new OEM main and rod bearings

question is will this setup be able to be tuned well enough without problems with a VAFC2

alreeady have a header and skunk2 intake manifold
and ITR ecu

You should have no problems at all using the VAFC to tune. Overall, its a pretty basic setup. Good choice getting rid of the stock GSR intake manifold!

does the vafc have a feature to bypass the factory rev-limiter?

i'm sure those cams are going to want to go past 8000rpm... and you've got the bottom to handle it. oh yeah, get an ignition too.

it will make power just fine, but to take full advantage of those cams, you will want to rev a lot higher than stock limiter.

nevermind, I didn't see the r ecu, you could still go higher, but 8700 is better than 8200

I wouldn't go higher on that bottom end combo. You are using stock heavy pieces. Unbalnced bottom end is not worth revving high. You can make some very streetable power with that, and it will make a great daily driver. Have fun.
