Default alarm question? NEED HELP!!

I have a viper 550 ESP car alarm in my hatch and it doesn't work anymore!? It won't arm anymore, obviously it won't un-arm either. It started out being a pain to arm and un-arm and then one day I had to just open my door and let it go off as I just kept pushing the un-arm button and it finally went off after a bit. after that i just haven't armed it again. then the other night after i got off of work i tried it for shits and giggles and it worked?? when i got up the next day and tried it again, it didn't work anymore?? I changed the battery in my remote and that did absolutely no good. it seems to want to work after i have been racing or the car is hot?? any suggestions would be appreciated though!

all I can say is check all of your wires with a voltage/resistance/continuancy tester.

Okay, here's a stupid question.. Have you checked the battery in the transmitter!? That's exactly what it sounds like to me.

sounds like it to me. even if you bought it yesterday, the batteries could still be dead.
