Default aftermarket sunroof

i'm looking into buying a car that has an aftermarket sunroof installed, the sunroof does not open but thats not the part i'm worried about, i'm curious as to how much work it would be to fix the headliner to make sure it looks clean.

you could either put some molding around the cut-out you have now, or go to the junkyard and find another headliner and do the cut yourself, or take it to somebody. Why doesn't the sunroof open?
