Default afm hack

i heard of a hack that can be done to get rid of an airflow meter in a second gen 3sgte. i heard you use an afc to modify the signal to the ecu is this true has anyone else heard of this if so i would like some details. thanks

of the 22 million mr2's i had the displeasure of working on, only one ever had successfully removing the maf. he had an afc, and 2 or 3 hks magic boxes. vpc, fcon some wild shit.

anyhow replacing a maf with an afc is pretty scary. maf's are variable because x rpm does not always equal y amount of air flow. with an afc you would obviously be supplying x volts at y rpm which means you get the same amount of pre programmd air flow... which will usually be incorrect. sounds scary to me

get a real management system and you will save yourself ENDLESS headaches and nightmares.
