Well he gave me a choice of b16a2 or b18c1. I say b16a due to the fact that it is A LOT cheaper and the power gains of a b18c1 are minimal.

& the B18 is the way to go, since your fully building a motor a good starting groud would be the C1. You can benifit from the more displacment& better designed P72 head of the GSR.

Minimal compared to what? Not if you are comparing it to a b16.

Yea it's pretty minimal. Unless you consider +10hp, and +10 lbs-ft a large power gain.

Edit: What I am trying to say is that the extra money you pay for the b18c is not worth the power gains you get when you could use that money to build the b16a and make more power.

Oh and a GSR motor usually costs double the price of a b16.
It's been said money isn;t an issue. Given that it will be a boosted motor with new internals you can throw your numbers all out the window. ALL you have left is the displacement difference, which doesn't sound like much but I promise in the end it will be huge. Not as much in the HP, but in the torque numbers. It won't matter if its USDM or JDM

Personally, I don't care what he says.. Money is always an issue. But if money isn't an issue I would have to agree with you that a b18c is a better choice.

Edit: Anyways, I'm going to bed, I'll argue with you tommorow Seeya.
Edit #2: Haha, d16.. Single cam lover.
