98 Accord bogging problem
My friends girlfriends car is bogging/trying to cut off while trying to take off in first gear.
The car is a 98 Accord 2.3L 4 cyl. 5 speed. Just had a major tune up done, plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor button, pcv valve. It only does it when the car has been sitting for a while, and doesn't always do it. It will not do it once the car warms up.
I went to test drive it for him, and it was sitting for about 3 hours before I got there. I took off, drove normal, and everything was fine. Stopped at a stop sign, made a turn, stopped again. Went to take off, gave the car a little gas, and it just died. It didn't cut off, but wanted to. I hit the gas a few times, and the car revved up normal, and didn't have a problem after that. I could not get it to duplicate the problem again.
Any ideas? My first thought was the distributor. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
