91 Accord Problem
I have a 91 Accord w/ manual transmission that won't shift. I have replaced the master, slave cylinders, and release bearing. It also makes a sound like there's something loose around the release bearing/clutch area. When I replaced the release bearing, I did not see anything that might be loose. I also checked the release fork and it seemed fine. The only thing that I did not get to do is to take apart the clutch, which I have done now. The clutch does not look worn out, nor the pressure plate. There's no uneven wear either. The only thing I noticed is that the springs on the clutch plate are just free playing. Is that how it's supposed to be or is it supposed to be attached to something. If anybody can point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated. I have poured countless hours trying to fix my car. Thanks in advance!
Will it not shift while its running?
Do this. (With nothing in front of you) put it in first, push the clutch in and start. The car should fire up and not move. Slowly release the clutch and see if its engaging.

I've done that and the slowly released the clutch and it engaged normally and the car moved. But once I pop it out of gear it won't go in to any other gears.
I checked the input shaft of the tranny and I didn't notice any play or anything loose. The reason I did not put in a new clutch is because I was able to engage the clutch before and did not want to spend money on something that might not be broke. The release bearing I replace because it was only $30. But if I do need a new clutch of course I have no choice but to buy one.
