Default 97 Accord - Replacing Oil Pressure Switch

Is it possible to replace the oil pressure switch without jacking the car up and going underneath?

The car is a 97 Honda Accord 2.2 non-vtec.

Thanks.

OP, do you have the new switch? Do you have a deep socket of the correct size, extension, ratchet? Do you know where it is located? Can you get your hand on it and a flat screwdriver to pry the boot off? Do you have some sort of thread sealant to install the new one. Did you know that the boot will be hard as a brick in these temps and will most likely rip (assuming since you have no jack or stands that it will not be in a heated garage). If you can answer NO to any of these, pay someone else to do it.

Is this boot not replaceable? I'm assuming its going to be brittle as its been on there for 16 years.

Why would I pay someone to do this? It seems simple enough.

Because you don't have a jack or jackstands. You are asking if this can be done without those things, pay somebody that does have them. I'm sure if you could unbolt enough stuff or you have 4ft long arms with 4 elbows you could. Either go buy jackstands and a jack and take 3 minutes to change it from underneath OR take a few hours to do it from the top and break lots of important shit.
Also google is your friend, http://www.ehow.com/how_5882215_repl...re-switch.html. <-----this will be the same procedure.

Well seems like its worth giving it ago before paying someone to do it.

Simple enough job to do assuming I can reach it.
