Default 94 z28 ECU (computer)

the went to CCC for a jasper trans to be installed, then they said the trans cooler was shot, replaced that, now they are saying the computer is gone and due to the old transmission (they said bad solenoids caused it or something) is this possible? i dont want to spend 300+ on a new computer which also has to be programmed for an additional 70+ because of the 'P' code in the vin ... if im going to replace the computer, i want to get a performance one ... so also does anyone know where to get an aftermarket computer that will work with the 'P' code?

Bad lockup solenoids can fry the lockup solenoid drivers in the ECU, yes. What car is that?
