changed the ignition harness today, nothing changed except for now i get a click when i try to turn the car over. the battery is fine and i just put a new starter in it....any other clues??

its the ignition swicth thats under the column it bolts to the back of the ignition key

is your car a manual?

I had the same problem - it took me a week to find the culprit. The rubber piece that hits the clutch starter switch deteriorated because of the extreme heat.

Follow the clutch pedal to where it hits a small button when you press the clutch. Its high in the dash so you might have to get under w/ a flashlight. hold the button, then start the car. make sure youre in neutra

An easy way to see if this is the problem; look on the floor of your car. if you see small pieces of blue rubber, then thats it.

is the clicking from the starter? sounds like a bad starter

if he swapped out the ignition harness im pretty sure he swapped this piece too because its connected

ya that piece is switched, spidsta, i'll check it out. some other people are saying those sensors and neutral safety switches can keep it from starting too....

oh the starter is brand new....

if it's clicking the signal is making it to the starter, check your connections and your battery terminals, forget the sensors and neutral safety switch, seriously

spidsta is the dude, i looked around and i found a piece that looked like the end of a blue crayon broken off on the floor, i reached up and pushed the button and BAM! she started
