When you turn the headlights on and it is cold outside, it takes forever for the headlights to actually turn on. The brights work if you hold them on, but they do not stay engaged if you release the lever. The parking lights work like they should, but it takes anywhere from 1-10 minutes for the headlights to come on. This only happens when it is sub 50 degrees outside and the colder it is, the longer they take to turn on. Any ideas?

 

Might want to change the headlight fluid.

or try this: see if it's that headlight switch

Lets turn your lights on without the switch to see if that's the problem. You'll need 3 pieces of 2" wire with stripped ends. Twist each wire end good so it doesn't fray. On your 7pin connector that's on the car's wiring harness, insert your first wire to conect terminals B1 and B2 (according to picture.) With the second piece of wire, connect terminals B4 and B6. With the last piece of wire, connect terminals B3 and B6. When you finish making this connection, your headlights will be switched on. If there's no delay, repeat the process twice more to be certain. If there's no delay again, find yourself a new combination switch (turn signal sw/light sw) Let me know what happens.

 

Also check your headlight relay.
