Heard clips of this exhaust system and it sounds mean. It's all hand bent not machined and ppl on nicoclub rave about how great it is. The clips you can get off utube and they sound great (like a mild muscle car). Not too throaty but not ricey at all. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/48608 Decent pricing as well.

i just had 2.25" on my stock 240 with any tip and it sounded pretty good although. I don't see the point in putting an exhaust on a car when it won't make any power gains(mine came with an exhaust, and I hate the noise so I put a stock muffler on.), but to each his own. I'd go for 2.25-2.5"

3" is going to be too big for a stock N/A KA and will probably lose torque

Yes on a stock NA KA 3in is way too big 2.5 at the most. I would only recomm 3in for turbo application like the sr20det. When I get around to ordering my sr's exhaust, if i can't find a decent used one, i'll probably be going with a BRM 3in. If I were still runnin the KA i'd actually just keep my stock and *coughgutthecatcough* since I think anything else is a waste of $$ and the stock exhaust is very quiet and very smooth.

You can search on Zilvia, 240sxforums, whatever, 3" exhaust makes power on any motor you can put in the 240, it does not lose torque on a NA KA, search about it. It has nothng but performance gains. I am basing my information off of a study a guy did on Zilvia (it was either zilvia or 240sxforums) where he put the same exhaust on his NA KA 240, just one was 2.5" and one was 3" and the only difference between the two exhausts was the 3" made more power. So I am not talking out of my ass, I am only wrong if the information I have read is wrong - if that is wrong prove it, I am going to look for the dyno charts today.

definitely would like to see the link. Ive always thought 3'' was excessive but a friend of mine dyno'd his stock KA24DE the other day with nothing but 3'' exhaust and put down 147whp and 160lbs tq...crank hp is rated at 155hp and 162lb tq. Im still very surprised by this.

I had Ross at Precision Auto make the exhaust on my 240. It looks great and sounds awesome too. It's all custom mandrel bent. Spindrift can vouch for it. Email me for a sound clip. It's too large to post.
