Default 4G63 head swap ?s

There is a totaled 1st gen down the street from me. i dunno weather its turbo or not. most likely not. Are the 1st gen heads the same? n/a or turbo? i know the ports are larger there for i could easly snatch it off (not steal) and use it on our car. Whats the word?

i dont really understand what your asking, but im really positive the head is the same as long as its a 2.0, to a 2.0, vise versa, then they are the same, i just finished swapping heads onto my 92 talon, and its a cyclone manifold and all that other good stuff, but im pretty sure they are the same....

the 1g turbo and non turbo head has different cams... you want turbo cams (5speed manual transmission) the automatic cams sux. you can not use your 2g cams in the 1g head. also you will need to get the cam angle sensor with it and wire it up some how to your car see http://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g.htm

You can use 2g cams. The just have less lift so aren't recommended. The only difference between 97-99 and 1g cams other than cam lobe specs is the end of the intake cam is drilled and tapped for the stock 2g cam angle sensor.
