240 timing chain
So there's this "rattling" sound if ya will, whenever I start my 240sx up, and whenever I accelerate up to 2000 rmps and usually goes away after that. Sound comes from under valve cover. Lack of first gear power seems to be coinciding with the rattle.
I have looked into it at 240sx.org and am pretty sure that I can conclude that it is my timing chain that needs to be readjusted.
(If interested is at 240sx.org / / under F.A.Q. // Timing chain questions and answers)
Would like to know if anyone can offer suggestions once they've read the history with the KA24DE's timing chain problems on the FAQ page, or if anyone with a 240 has had similiar problem?
Any local estimate price on the service the FAQ is talking about near the bottom of the timing chain Q and A ?
Any help would be appreciated.
