Default 2000 Jetta completely bogged out

Ok so at first I figured, it's a NA 2.0, its gunna be slow. But its gotten to the point to where it doesnt even really get goin, its pretty much impossible to accelerate at anywhere near a decent speed.

Also Ive noticed when the car is cold, any type of throttle input makes the car buck/shake when you start driving and after a couple of minutes it goes away and is fine.

Replaced the 02 sensor a couple momths back but other than that it hasnt been messed with. Any ideas besides a basic tune up?

Not a VW expert, but is it throwing an engine light? Sounds like its in limp mode. (If VW has such a thing)
