1999 Jetta transmission (VW heads chime in plz)
I was wondering if there's a competent shop I can take my car to have its transmission looked at. Being that the transmission on these guys are "sealed", i can't check to see if the fluid needs flushing or not. It either needs a flushing (if possible) or a rebuild.
The Jetta is a commuter, its the 2.0L and automatic tranny. When on the highway, it rides smooth as can be. But in town, when starting off, it lags, shifts hard, etc... It doesn't make any grinding noises and idles very smoothly. I just like to have this looked at before it completely goes out. (knock on wood)
any help, advice, tips, recommendations, referrals ... is greatly appreciated.
