Hey guys,
My buddy is thinking about buying this older rx7. The problem is the current owner has taking the transmisson off the car. I am trying to find out if we can get the car the start w/o the transmission on the motor.
Common sense tells me no, but I wanted to check with the guru's.

Yeah it will run. once you find a way to start it haha the mounting for the starter is on the tranny. well the bolts runs through it. i just got rid of a 87 tranny too

Yeah that's what the owner was telling him about the tranny needing to be in for the starter. That just didn't make sense to me and wanted to check. Also, it is a 5 speed.
