Not only as in thats slow or anything. I'm used to seeing 2G dashes that have lines to 170 and the awd's aren't limited so they will get there if not close. Try going 140 then going 170 I'm pretty sure 140 will feel like only. I personally can vouch for 145 though which wasn't to exciting. Everything just goes past quicker.

Yes the fwd 2g's were limited because of the tire.

He is referring to VSS as the speed limiter.

The speedo's go to 175 but I don't believe they will do 175 in the awd's.. I think they typically top out around 145 or so.

 

I was still in 4th gear when I let off of my 1 time hell run, and it never saw redline.

So I have no doubt it will get damn close. But that was with an upgraded turbo and the like so power wasn't an issue if it would be on a stock one.

 

I can personally vouch that a 1g dsm FWD can and will hit 140. I did it in one of my stupider moments, and the whole damn car vibrated so much i thought i was gonna lose a wheel. Be very careful. With the way things break on DSMs do u really want to chance it happing at 100+ mph?

 

I believe it's rev limited on the 1g's and computer on 2,3g's. BTW, did you get a turbo for your car, when I saw your sig and the posts you've been making I've started to wonder, pm me.
